A division of Arachnoidea; including the daddy longlegs or harvestman Phalangiumand many similar kinds. They have long; slender; many-jointed legs; usually a rounded; segmented abdomen; and chelate jaws. They breathe by tracheae. Called also Phalangides; Phalangidea; Phalangiida; and Opilionea. (n. pl.).
